Janet Hardie Harvey, Irvine Nature Center Administrator and Johnston Square Advocate, Passes Away
Janet Hardie Harvey, a former administrator at the Irvine Nature Center and an advocate for the Johnston Square neighborhood, died of cervical cancer on Saturday at her home.
Harvey, 66, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends.
Harvey was a passionate advocate for the Johnston Square neighborhood, where she lived for many years. She served on the neighborhood association board and was instrumental in organizing community events and advocating for improvements to the park.
Harvey was also a longtime volunteer at the Irvine Nature Center, where she led nature walks and educational programs for children. She was a passionate advocate for environmental conservation and education.
Harvey's death is a great loss to the Johnston Square neighborhood and the Irvine Nature Center. She will be remembered for her dedication to her community and her passion for the environment.
