Fever Win Big Season Opener at Home

The Indiana Fever opened their season with a resounding 92-71 victory over the New York Liberty on Saturday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The Fever were led by Victoria Vivians, who scored 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting. Kelsey Mitchell added 19 points, and Aaliyah Boston had 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Liberty Struggle to Keep Up

The Liberty were led by Sabrina Ionescu, who scored 19 points and dished out eight assists. However, she also committed nine turnovers.

The Liberty shot just 37.5% from the field and 25% from three-point range. They were also outrebounded 44-33.
